Kim Kardashian is a year older, she turned 29 today, and of course there had to be some drama involved.  With so much attention being cast upon Kourtney being pregnant and Khloe marrying Lamar Odom, Kim was not about to be upstaged.

Initially according to Life & Style Kim spilled the beans on how she was looking forward to having a baby, soon:

“Family is the most important thing in my life,” Kim tells Life & Style. “I always had a vision I’d be married with one kid by the time I’m 30.” Not that Kim’s likely to be waiting for a ring much longer. After dating for more than two years, Kim and boyfriend Reggie Bush, split in July but are now back together and working on their issues. “Before, I was strictly all about my work,” Kim admits. “Now I make it a priority to go see him instead. It’s all about the commitment you choose to make.”

And with renewed faith in their relationship, Kim and Reggie are making moves toward their future. “Kim is selling her condo so she and Reggie can buy a home together in Los Angeles,” her friend says. And the prospect of having a big house has Kim thinking about how she and Reggie will fill it. “I want a lot of kids,” Kim tells Life & Style. “Maybe five or six. A mix of both boys and girls.”

Now Us magazine is saying that is simply not the case:

a source close to the reality star tells Usmagazine “No way!!! The article says she want a family one day after she’s married!”

Meanwhile Kim had a little drama leading up to the party tweeting on Tuesday:

“Why am I not excited about my birthday tomorrow….”

But fear not apparently Reggie gave her something to smile about as she updated her Twitter account on Wednesday saying:

“Thank you so much for all of your birthday wishes!”

“My bday keeps getting better and better!”

Scarlett Johansson is again the star of a marketing campaign for a big time brand. This time Mango selected Scarlett to replace former spokesmodel Penelope Cruz for their Winter 2009-10 line.

The images were shot in Los Angeles by renowned photographer Mario Sorrenti. Scarlett looks as stunning as ever, sporting short blond hair and to go with her sultry and seductive poses. The pieces range from pencil skirts to leather vests and jackets featuring animal prints, sequins, and studs. This collection line screams I love the ‘80’s.

One of my favorite shots features Scarlett in a wide-sleeved grey t-shirt dress, rocking cross-strapped heels, shot against a graffiti covered wall. The contrast in the colorful wall and Scratlett’s gorgeous locks is a shot for the ages.

Lindsay Lohan Back in Court

Lindsay Lohan is off the hook again. Somehow when Hollywood starlets, or ex-starlets in this case, break the law they always seem to avoid any real punishment.

The well known, on and off screen star, appeared in court in Beverly Hills yesterday. She learned she had violated the terms of her probation, yet again. This time she failed to attend substance abuse classes.

Of course Miss Lohan will not be going to jail. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel granted Lindsay’s request to extend her probation by another year, as opposed to actually having to serve any time behind bars.

Back in 2007 Lindsay pleaded guilty to two counts of being under the influence of cocaine and no contest to two counts of drunken driving and one count of reckless driving. Miss Lohan has now escaped further punishment three times. Prior violations were described as “misunderstandings”.

After finally showing up 90 minutes late to the hearing, Lindsay was so kind as to look bored and fed up during the hearing.

In exchange for her plea deal Lindsay was given three-year probation. Part of the terms required Lindsay attend a substance abuse treatment program. The program consisted of 26 individual alcohol classes, 26 group alcohol classes, 28 self-help sessions and six education classes.  To this point Lindsay has only completed 15 of the individual classes and 13 of the group classes and self help sessions. Missing several of the required courses landed her back in front of judge Marsha Revel who said Lindsay needs ‘get serious’ about her recovery.

Lindsay’s lawyer told the court that Miss Lohan has been hard at work on a new movie in Texas, resulting in her inability to attend classes in L.A.. Filming has now wrapped though, so Lindsay should have no problem fulfilling her end of the probation requirements.

Looking like a total train wreck, the troubled star, was dressed in black leggings, a black vest paired with a cream cardigan and cream jacket with studded lapels.  It looks like the break up from “Sam the Man” is not doing a body good.

Miss Platic Hungary 2009

Call it a beauty pageant with a twist.  This show wasn’t about natural beauty, or the usual “I will change the world” speeches, no this pageant was something different entirely. The contest, Miss Plastic Hungary 2009.

On this night the abilities of ones doctor, and the size of the contestant’s bank account outweighed all else. The gorgeous contestants flaunted breast implants, lipo face lifts, nose jobs, and one contestant even went so far as to have her toes done. Miss Plastic Hungary 2009 strove to promote the benefits of plastic surgery in a country where artificial enhancements are viewed mostly with a wary eye.

The Miss Plastic Hungary candidates were at least 18 years of age and included a former gymnast, a firefighter, the usual round of strippers, and a beautiful mother of three.

The goal of the pageant was to help break down the common perception within Eastern that plastic surgery is wrong.  Judge and photographer Marton Szipal was quoted as saying, “I think this competition is long overdue. Hungarians used to laugh about plastic surgery but it’s time for Hungarian women to care more about their appearance. They are the most beautiful in Europe.”

Plastic surgeon Dr. Tamas Rozsos saw the pageant as an opportunity to show Eastern Europe and the world that plastic surgery did not have to represent the Hollywood ideal of beauty. He was quoted as saying, “This about restoring harmony … eliminating asymmetries and giving women the opportunity to have normal features,” Rozsos said. “Plastic surgery has a bad reputation in Hungary but it’s mostly due to the exaggerations.”

To qualify for the pageant, the cosmetically altered beauties they underwent more drastic procedures than lipo or a few botox or collagen injections. The two most popular reworked features were breasts and noses.

While the shows organizers claimed to be looking for “a perfect harmony of body and soul,” in the winner, it really all boiled down to who had the most stunning, symmetrical physique.

Reka Urban, a 22-year-old hostess, was eventually crowned Pageant Queen. The grand prize was an apartment in Budapest. The first runner-up Edina Kulcsar was presented with a new car and second runner-up Alexandra Horvath added some bling to her platic, collecting diamond jewelry worth 2 million forints ($10,800).

Reka, while quite stunning, had previously been banned from conventional pageants due to her cosmetic alterations. While once being viewed by judges and organizers as having an unfair advantage, Reka was finally able to celebrate her day in the spotlight. Prior to her victory she stated, “When talking about plastic surgery, people automatically associate girls who have done it with playmates, the sex industry and with a lifestyle supported by an old, wealthy lover. It is not so. I’m here to prove that plastic girls can be real too.”
